I am trained and experienced in treating BFRBs in clients of all ages. In fact, I love working with clients with BFRBs because I find that for clients who are motivated, their symptoms get better and I love to see the confidence they gain in their daily lives.

First, we'll do a thourough assessment of your picking/pulling symtoms and make sure we understand as much as we can about them. This includes understanding when the symptoms are more likely to occur (time of day, place, etc), how often they are happening, how automatic they feel, and more. We will use this info to develop a plan for treatment, strategically learning how to reduce the picking and pulling symptoms. We'll build on this plan as we go and tailor it to your specific needs. I'll give you concrete strategies/homework to do between sessions.
The best way to get an idea of what it will be like to work on your specific symptoms is to schedule a free phone consultation with me and we can talk about it - click here!
Yes! These symptoms didn't develop overnight so of course they don't go away overnight either. However, I find that clients of all ages who come to therapy motivated typically make great progress on their BFRB symptoms. I especially find that clients who are willing to do the therapy homework and make changes between sessions have the best outcomes.
